Community Involvement

All of the doctors and staff of Mill Creek Animal Hospital believe it is impossible for a caring and thriving veterinary practice to act as if it has no larger role within the community it serves. We all live in Shawnee and the surrounding area and take great pride in the vibrancy of our people and communities. Without our friends and neighbors we simply would not have achieved all that we have over these many years.

For these reasons we enjoy being a good neighbor and take every opportunity to do our part to sustain and strengthen our home communities. All of our doctors and staff volunteer or in some way participate in our schools, libraries, and municipal and civic organizations. We also endeavor to put our animal care knowledge to use in serving the community.

By way of example, Mill Creek Animal Hospital works with Great PlainsWayside Waifs, Unleashed.  All of which are humane orgranizations dedicated to helping care for abused, neglected or homeless animals in and around Kansas City and Shawnee.

We also proudly sponsor area youth baseball and soccer teams, an adult triathlon club, and are frequent contributors to Parkinson’s disease research and Susan G. Komen for The Cure, a breast cancer fundraising group. Our Hospital also routinely contributes funds to the Kansas State University Pet Trust Educational Scholarship Fund. In all, Mill Creek Animal Hospital is very proud of our contributions–both in volunteer hours and financial–to our communities.
