Dr. Church is a native of Nebraska, but growing up in an Air Force family he has lived in nearly every part of the world. Dr. Church completed his undergratuate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln prior to earning his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Kansas State University. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association. His professional interestes include internal medicine, dentistry, geriatric care, and general veterinary medicine.

"Building relationships with people and their pets is the best part of my job," he says. "Being able to care for a pet from the time they're young through their entire life to see that bond between them and their family grow and develop, and to be a part of that is such a wonderful thing to experience."

At home, Dr. Church has a "rambunctious" cat, Ellie, and a fun spiritied Corgie, Minnie. In his free time, he enjoys going to sporting events (especially Sporting Kansas City soccer), going to live theater shows, visiting museums, and spending time with his wife, Jody, and two daughters, Natalie and Megan. His is also an active member of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Gardner, Kansas.
